New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will travel to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the last week of this month. The Prime Minister’s office is said to have completed the Itenary and the visit could be part of his visit to Germany, where he would take part in the G7 Summit.
The G7 Summit will take place from 26 to 28 June 2022 at Schloss Elmau in the Alpen Bavaria mountains. Prime Minister Modi will discuss Indian Diaspora in Munich, Germany in the iconic Audi Dome on June 26.
The UAE visit is expected to help reaffirm the Indian bond with the Gulf, especially the UAE, in the midst of a strong reaction from the region of negative comments at that time a BJP spokesman about the Prophet. Unlike Qatar, Kuwait and Iran, UAE and Saudi Arabia did not call the Indian envoy to cause worries. Furthermore, the two countries welcomed the Union government’s actions against BJP spokesman who had been expelled.
High -level visits between India and UAE have taken place routinely, and Modi shares excellent relations with the President of UAE MD Bin Zayed. The last visit by the Prime Minister to the UAE was in August 2019 where he received the highest award of the UAE, ‘Order of Zayed’ given to him by the leadership of the UAE.
Furthermore, the UAE is the only country from the Gulf region that signs the free trade agreement (FTA) with India which focuses on several fields from defense to investment to energy supply to energy. UAE is the second largest export goal in India after the US.
