Pakistani soldiers on Tuesday claimed that there was a campaign “Propaganda recently” by several quarters to slander the country’s military.
This statement was issued after the 79th Formation Commander Conference was held at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi.
This high-level meeting was attended by the Commander of the Army Corps, the Main Staff Officer and the Chief of Staff of the Pakistani Army (CoA) General Qamar Javed Bajwa.
“This forum recorded a recent propaganda campaign by several quarters to slander the [] Pakistani army and create the division between institutions and the community,” said the public relations between services (ISPR) in a statement.

“Pakistani soldiers are aware of their responsibilities and will continue to maintain the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Pakistan against all internal and external threats in all circumstances,” said the Head of the Pakistani army quoted by Geo News.
It came a few days after the slogans “Chowkidar Chor Hi” was raised during the rally aimed at the leader of the Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Sheikh Rashid Ahmed in the Punjab province against Ouster Imran Khan as Prime Minister. These slogans seem to be intended for the country’s army.
Thousands of people gathered at Lal Haveli in Punjab Province Pakistan against Imran Khan’s Ouster. During protests, the crowd refers to the army as “Chowkidar” and calls them “thieves” who “steal” Imran Khan’s mandate.
However, in Viral videos, Sheikh Rashid, the former interior minister was seen trying to stop the protesters not to raise the slogan to the country’s forces. “Don’t lift the slogan … we will fight peacefully,” he said.
The trend of social media in Pakistan also observes the slamming Pakistani Army.
