Canada Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Monday said he had been tested positive for Coronavirus (Covid-19). “I feel fine – and I will continue to work from a distance this week while following the community health guidelines,” Trudeau wrote on Twitter.
The development took place in the middle of the report that he “shifted to a secret location” after a large-scale protest against the covid vaccine mandate gathered at Parliament Hill.
On Saturday, thousands of protesters with trucks gathered in the capital city of Ottawa, calling for the termination of the Covid-19 vaccine mandate and other public health restrictions.
Demonstrations have begun in protest against vaccine requirements for cross-border drivers, but developed into a demonstration against the Trudeau government with strong anti-vaccination lines.
Canada has one of the highest level of vaccination in the world against Covid-19 shots which are mainly designed to keep those infected falls seriously ill. In January, the leader received a third dose of vaccines as a booster shot.
Canada has recorded more than 2.9 million cases of Covid-19 and more than 33,000 deaths since the start of the Pandemic.
