The Samsung Galaxy S22 series is likely to be launched in February. Samsung smartphones will include Exynos 2200 SOC which will come for the Indian market. Towards the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event, the company has confirmed the launch date of Exynos 2200.
The Samsung Exynos 2200 SOC will be launched on January 11, which is also the date budgeted for the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S21 Fe. The company has begun to tease the launch of its new flagship chipset with #PlayTimeisover which suggests focus on performance. The details about the chip are not launched.
However, the company has confirmed that the upcoming chipset will come with the AMD RDNA2 GPU, which is found on the console and PC. It will also come up with support for features such as ray-tracing, variable level shade, etc.
Exynos 2200 SOC will be based on the 4NM process. It will have one Cortex-X2 Prime Core, three Core Cortex-A710, and four Core Cortex-A510. Tri-cluster architecture is similar to Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and dimensity mediatek 9000 SOC. However, it will all depend on how Samsung’s mainstay chips are related to thermal problems, remembering raw power under the hood.
The details of the Exynos 2200 SOC will be officially announced at the January 11 event. Samsung is also expected to confirm the Galaxy S21 Fe in the coming days. It should be noted that the S21 FE is rumored to be coming with Snapdragon 888 and not the new Exynos 2200 SOC, which plans Samsung to be used in the Galaxy S22 series.
