Exynos 2200 will come earlier than expected – a new flagship chipset with AMD Graphics will debut on January 11. This is the week after the CES and the date reported for the launch of the Galaxy S21 Fe.
Of course, FE will use a longer Snapdragon 888 and Exynos 2100 chipset, depending on the market (more specifications here). This new chipset will be intended for the upcoming Galaxy S22 series, which is expected to arrive in February.
GPU RDNA 2 based will be the spotlight of the chip – this architecture is also used in the AMD RX 6000-series GPU and displayed in a special chip used in the current Xbox and Playstation console, plus the upcoming Steam Valve deck.
Hardware support for tracking ray will be the first for cellular, so it will be interesting to see what the game industry does with it. Indeed, gaming seems to be the focus of this chipset because all flagship chips for Android will use the same CPU hardware (New Arm Core).
